The clock museum in Furtwangen enables small and large groups to have a fascinating experience by giving them the chance to make custom cuckoo clocks in a creative and fun atmosphere. Over a period of three to four hours, participants can create their own one-of-a-kind cuckoo clocks, which can either be used as unique home decorations or as special gifts for loved ones.

The manufacture of cuckoo clocks takes place under the guidance of experienced watchmakers who will guide the participants through every step of the process. The materials needed, such as a pre-made wooden body, weights, a dial with hands, batteries and a pendulum, are provided to ensure each participant has everything they need to create their own working cuckoo clock.

The clock museum in Furtwangen offers small and large groups the opportunity to produce individual cuckoo clocks. Participants can create their own unique cuckoo clocks in three to four hours. The clocks can either be designed as unique pieces for the home or as special gifts.

For the production of the cuckoo clocks, the participants receive a prefabricated wooden body, weights, a dial with hands, batteries and a pendulum. Experienced watchmakers accompany the participants throughout the entire manufacturing process.

Before the production, the participants get a tour of the museum. The museum presents the history of the Black Forest watchmaking trade. The origins of the craft are dated back to the 17th century, but the exact date and location are unknown.

Black Forest clocks were sold worldwide in the 18th century. They were popular due to their attractive price and mass production.
