Who says that a cuckoo clock is a Black Forest artifact?

No one at least now! Because the traditional manufactory Anton Schneider has recently released the first copy of a new series that shows special buildings in Germany:

The Michelstadt clock.

"With this series of watches we show special buildings in Germany. The Michelstadt watch is the first of its kind, "says managing director Jürgen Clute. Just like the Michelstadt town hall in the Odenwald, this cuckoo clock has two bay windows left and right, at the bottom the large beams that support the building, the timber framing and the colors of the historic building. The side of the clock is made of Plexiglas, so you can look inside and see how the clock is driven. In front of the building sits a really fat man, a real Bavarian with a beer belly. That's authentic. Of course, the people from Michelstadt immediately recognized their town hall at the fair.

A cuckoo clock is no longer just "something from the Black Forest", made in Germany. It is also German history. For someone who wants a very special souvenir from Germany. 76 pieces have been sold worldwide so far. "The Michelstadt watch is a pretty exclusive product," says Clute. There will be a series of ten watches in total - one each year. The buildings for the next two years are already fixed. Which ones will be? This is a well-kept secret. Only so much tells Jürgen Clute: 2020 it will be a building in Hesse.
