The difficulty with a cuckoo clock is the weight drive: With 1500 grams of weight you have to drive many movements. “With our new drive, we have achieved something that has never been seen before. It is currently the only watch with nine movements on the market,” explains Managing Director Jürgen Clute.
First, a sled on the roof drives the tiles up at the roofer clock. Then the roofer moves and makes a hacking motion. This is followed by the rotational movement of the classical dancers and the up and down movement of the beer drinkers. All of this happens separately in time, one after the other. With a technique that you can see: "The roof is not completely covered, so that you can look into the building," says Jürgen Clute. And something else is new to the roofing clock. For the first time the beer drinker is a really fat man; a real Bavarian with a big belly. That's authentic.
