The European Parliament approves the EU quality seal for special regional products such as the Black Forest Cuckoo Clock. This measure better protects and identifies such unique regional products. The Black Forest cuckoo clock, which is known worldwide, will in future be protected by an EU quality seal. The introduction of this EU protection was announced in May of this year and has now been confirmed by the European Parliament in Strasbourg.
